A Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Speaker, Minister, Coach, and Entrepreneur, Janel Holland is the Founder of the Power For Living Movement that intertwines ministry and social work. This movement has been established to give teens, men and women the power they need to live victorious lives. With a heart for helping others, Janel has a 20 year history of having worked for social services agencies that serve children, adolescents, adults, and families. Being a conscientious, dedicated, compassionate, and optimistic person, Janel has helped people others would disregard.
Her diverse educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from San Diego State University, a Master of Social Work from Savannah State University, and an Associate of Science in Biblical Studies and Religious Arts from Jacksonville Theological Seminary. Her education only aids her to serve others making Janel a powerful and dynamic force in the field of empowerment.
Currently, Janel has a private practice where she is able to meet and alleviate mental health needs of individuals and families by offering individual and group counseling sessions-all tailored according to the needs, concerns, and preferences of her clients. She also conducts workshops and training sessions showcasing her advocacy and outreach efforts where she speaks on a variety of topics including Mental Health, Family Strengthening, Conflict Resolution and Entrepreneurship. In addition, Janel shares her expertise to up-and-coming practitioners in clinical supervision and consulting services so that they too can learn how to build a profitable private practice.
What is near to Janel’s heart and fuels all of her endeavors is her call to minister to those who are hurting. She is a licensed minister and has faithfully served in ministry both locally and nationally in various capacities and denominations ministering at churches, conferences and spiritual retreats.
Janel’s passion for uplifting others has taken her far beyond she has ever imagined as she has been featured in several articles of her local newspaper, The Brunswick News discussing Parenting, Mental Health and Relationships issues. Driven by her desire to help others achieve inner peace by connecting with God, their inner selves, their families, and then others, Janel has worked tirelessly to establish a practice with a team which is as dedicated, compassionate, and well-meaning and will assist her in her mission to make the world a better place by making people’s lives better.
Janel currently resides in the beautiful Golden Isles of Georgia where she enjoys reading, Zumba, and spending time with family and friends. She works tirelessly to bring the same kind of peace, contentment, and joy to the lives of others.
